"Trouble in Tahiti", as part of the Wellington Fringe Festival 2007, opens on February 10th 2007, at 7pm, at the Wesley Methodist Community Church, 75 Taranaki Street. The show features Bernstein's characteristic blend of jazz and classical techniques, some famous signature arias ("There's a law" and "What a movie!") and haunting duets. Brendan Casey and Barbara Paterson, recently performers at the NZ Opera School in Wanganui, star as Sam and Dinah, a young couple who have grown apart from each other and themselves without realising it. Subsequent shows are February 12, 14, 17 @ 7pm, and Sunday 18 @ 5pm.
