Fresh from his critically-acclaimed role debut of Florestan at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, New Zealand’s leading tenor and Arts Foundation of New Zealand Laureate, Simon O’Neill, performs with fellow NY Metropolitan Opera star, Erika Sunnegårdh, in Fidelio. This gala concert performance of Beethoven’s only opera, a passionate story of a wife’s determination to rescue her husband imprisoned by political tyranny, is a rare opportunity to experience an internationally-assembled cast that also features the two of the world’s finest interpreters in the leading roles.
