Your buying habits

Dear Opera Lover,
My name is Stuart Coats, and if you've been to Opera in New Zealand you'll have seen me. Often I'm third spear carrier from the left but occasionally I push my way to the front, an example being playing The Officer in the 2003 NZ Tour of The Barber of Seville.
I am n ow working for the Morrison Music Trust (Have no fear spear fans- I will still be doing NZ Opera productions!) and I would like to, cheekily, prevail on you to answer some quick questions.
1) Do you know about the Morrison Music Trust/ Trust Records?
2) Can you name a release by this company?
3) Have you purchased a Trust Records release? If the answer is yes: what was it, and where did you buy it?

Thanks for taking the time.

Stu

Yes, I have

Hi Stuart! Yes I have the odd Morrison Trust CD in my collection (in storage back in NZ unfortunately). I have John Psathas' (urr...) Rhythm Spike? Some Philip Walsh, Margaret Medlyn, Paul Whelan. I bought John's CD at the product launch at Vic., Philip's likewise at the launch. The others I forget.

Apart from Simon Boccanegra is Morrison Trust considering releasing opera CDs too? Oh yes, please say "Hi" to Thomas for me.

Thanks Mark

Passed on your message to Thomas, we waved in response (our desks face each other so we're getting more into non-verbal communication!)
We have no plans for an opera release this year, but I've only been here a few weeks. Given time my natural prejudices towards opera and vocal music will shine through!

Yes of course!

Hej Stuart!
Michael Houston's wonderful Beethoven set (4), plus 2 recitals: NZ Youth choir x 2; Bridget Douglas and Rachel Thomson's Syrinx. Purchased over the web from Opus I think (I'm the lucky person who has been given them). Great to hear these kiwi musicians in Sweden.

While I promsied....

... myself that I wouldn't use this as a stealth marketing device, I would be remiss if I didn't mention that we have a new recording by Bridget and Rachel coming out late May.

Mrs. Major!

Are you in Sweden?

you have a job?

Stu - that's just great.
You must have left a ton of things off your resume. Ah well. Hope it's good fun.
I have some MMT cds (yay for Kirkaldie sales): Paul's art song cd, Turnovsky's from the old days....
Does MMT have a corporate box at the caketin?

Good luck with the job. Best to Jacqui.

It's the question mark that gets me!

Everything on my CV has helped to make me the man that I am today! Quite what sort of man htat is I shall leave to other people to judge...
I have a feeling Infratil, whose building we share, has a box but, alas, we music types are not invited to use it. Perhaps they think we're not interested or that our behaviour may embarrass them, which leads nicely back to the subject of my CV....
