Hi!
I hope here is anybody on this side to help me.
I have moved from Hungary to New Zealand with my husband because of his job some weeks ago and I would like to find a job, too. I have been graduated in the Music Academy in Hungary as privat singer teacher and singer( soprano)and I'm very alone here without musicians. I need a pianist to work together and help each other but I don't have acquaintance here. I don't know where music theatres are in Auckland to apply there and what my opportunities are? If a capable people will read my voice please help me!
have a nice day and thank you!
andrea
P.S. Sorry about my eglish, it is not so good :-(

Andrea, You could try contacting the Auckland Clef Music Club. Sorry, but at the moment I cannot find the address. This Club has performing members and is a good place to meet others.
Young Maori singer wants help with voice training
Hi My names is Tom Merito for many years I have wanted to learn opera but growing up in a Rugby sports family who never really encouraged me to focus on my passion in Music as a child.
I have always loved the technical control in voice training during my intermediate and collage days at school even then it was hard for a young Maori boy to enter into the opera world because I was very shy boy and didn't really have much confidant's in myself. Now that I am all gown up I would like to fulfill my child dreams ambitions to sing Opera. After watching Pull Potts a mobile sales men a normal country boy like myself I know I have a voice that would deliver the same powerful emotions given the right training and support.
People have told me I need to go back to Uni I have completed a masters in business studies I spent 6 years at Uni already. I believe I have a gift that only requires one on one training I am a very fast learner I have never learnt how to read music but have a natural ear for sound I suppose its the Maori side of me that allows me to sing a tune with out the words and key notes in front of me. Anyways I am looking for a very good singing tutor to help me fulfill my childhood dream if anyone knows someone that is welling to take on a new challenge please leave their details or leave me your details.
Regards
Tom Merito
Looking for a classic singing teacher

Pls contact me at 845 1398 if you can teach.
Thanks.
To fulfill a dream
Andrea hopefully in the 2 years you wrote for help someone has answered your request. If so I wish you all the best for a sucessful future in our wonderful New Zealand. You say you were a teacher of music. Perhaps you will be able to help me. I have had no training but adore opera, When I go to the opera I want to stand up and burst into song I feel it so bad in my stomach it churns. So I think I was meant to sing. However my age is not young anymore (46) and I am praying I am not to late to learn. Hope you will read this and return a reply.
27year old Maori woman looking for guidance..
Kia ora ra. I am from Rotorua. I have been wanting to pursue opera singing for a number of years, however my life and career has led me to prioritise other things. For a while now I have been feeling that I am not doing what I was maybe 'born to do'. Therefore I would really like to know if there are any reputable singing tutors in Rotorua. I was a former member of the NZ Maori Choir who toured with the NZ Symphony Ochestra, I also toured Europe doing Kapa Haka alongside the National Band of NZ. Other than these experiences I havn't had professional training, but I would be really commited to doing something I enjoy.
